What We Collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and (if you subscribe) the payment information needed to process billing — handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. We also collect your lesson progress, the dashboard tools you've used, and Discord identifiers necessary to grant you the correct Discord role.

How We Use It

  • To maintain your account, subscription, and access to gated lessons and tools.
  • To track lesson progress so you can resume where you left off.
  • To assign and maintain the correct role (Tourist / Shooter / Pro) in our Discord server based on your subscription state.
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, refund confirmations) and very occasional product announcements you can unsubscribe from.
  • To debug, secure the platform, and prevent abuse.

Photographs You Upload

Several dashboard tools (EXIF lookup, composition feedback, portfolio review) accept image uploads. Those images are sent to the Anthropic API for processing and are not stored on our servers after the response is returned. EXIF metadata extracted from your files is shown back to you and discarded. Frames you post in the Discord #critique-queue live in Discord under their own terms.

Discord & the In-House Bot

If you join our Discord, our bot reads your message metadata in moderated channels to enforce house rules (anti-spam, link allowlist, rate limit). When your subscription changes in Stripe, your Discord user ID is sent to the bot over an HMAC-signed internal endpoint so it can update your server role. We do not store DMs, voice recordings of the Tuesday call beyond what is posted in-server, or message content beyond the moderation window.

Third-Party Services

  • Clerk — authentication and account management.
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Supabase — primary application database (progress, account metadata).
  • Anthropic — image and text processing for the dashboard utility tools.
  • Vimeo — lesson video hosting and delivery.
  • Discord — community server, voice critique calls, role-gated channels.
  • Vercel — web hosting, with basic request logs retained for security.

Each is subject to its own privacy policy.

Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted entirely at any time by emailing privacy@armandcamra.com. Account deletion removes your progress data, dashboard usage history, and Discord role assignments; messages you posted publicly in Discord remain there unless you remove them.

Data Location

Frame Five Media is based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Application data is stored in Supabase's nearest region. Some third-party providers (Stripe, Anthropic, Vercel, Discord) operate from the United States and may process data there.
